Aislinn is nearly six months old. She's developed quite the personality, and right now, she's sucking on her fingers while kicking a rattle around with her foot.  She's very interested in everything, and she's helping me rediscover my sense of wonder.

Everything is new to Aislinn. She enjoys almost everything except shots and dirty diapers.  When she wakes up in the morning, she starts the day with a smile and giggles.  New foods are tried with a sense of adventure and fun.  New clothes are delicately tasted by a tiny, curious tongue when presented. New people get bright smiles, and she loves all the new chaos her brothers present her with.  Trees are admired for dancing in the wind. Flowers make her squeal with delight. Wind is met with a gasp of joy and a swift taste (because six month olds have to taste everything).  Everything is brilliant and amazing and fun.

It is hard not to enjoy life when you are around someone who is so full of wonder and joy.  I feel my sense of wonder waking up because Aislinn enjoys everything so much.  The first few years of a child's life very much feels like an extended springtime.  Everything gets to new again, no matter how old it really is, and that is magic that really counts.
