Checking myself

Some of you may be aware of some recent waves in the Pagan community.  Several bloggers have been accused of plagiarism and the evidence gathered does support these accusations.  It went from a group simply trying to control the rampant theft of intellectual property that happens in the community to backstabbing and open hostilities, propaganda writing and responses to the propaganda.  Calling someone out for intellectual property theft is not an act of intimidation or persecution.  It's one thing to make a mistake with attribution or occasionally forget to cite a source (which I am guilty of), it is another thing to take some one else's work and pass it off as your own.

That being said, I am taking a couple of days to scour this blog for issues with attribution and other people's intellectual property.  I have seven hundred and something posts to look at. I'm currently a third of the way through and I have removed or cited a couple of errors.  It's also been a fun walk through past thoughts that I had forgotten about.

Hopefully, in a few days, this will all blow over, and I will be back to writing.  Until I have a clear conscience, I'm going to focus on making sure I have done my best to ensure that I am not stealing someone else's work.  If I'm not back by the weekend, I hope you all have great ones!
